Part of the ever-expanding AIS product family, the AIS-360 MagVar Adapter is a simple magnetic variation solution for aging inertial systems that applies a correction to the magnetic heading label in ARINC 429 data stream.

The product was developed for MagVar table updates caused by change in Magnetic Declination: where magnetic north pole is moving at a rate of 35 miles per year, meaning table updates may be released more often. The adapter can be configured to combine true heading with magnetic variation data referenced from an updatable table residing in theadapter or alternatively, combine data from another source such as an FMS that has an updated magnetic variation table.
