Britten-Norman Islander Certification
June 7, 2023: Genesys has received an FAA STC for installation of the S-TEC 3100 digital autopilot on the Britten-Norman Islander aircraft. Genesys is also following up the FAA STC with an application to the UK for CAA approval. Working in collaboration with Britten-Norman, the S-TEC 3100 autopilot is offered on both forward-fit factory OEM aircraft as well as existing retrofit aircraft fleets. The STC includes the following Islander aircraft models:
The 3-axis S-TEC 3100 autopilot replaces the previously certified Genesys S-TEC 55X 2-axis autopilot, on Islander aircraft. This update provides next generation digital performance upgrades and operational capability improvements.
Cessna Citation S-TEC Autopilot STC Update
As previously announced, Genesys Aerosystems is in the process of certifying the S-TEC 5000 Autopilot for FAR Part 23 and Part 25 Cessna Citation turbine aircraft to replace existing obsolete autopilots that are too difficult or prohibitively expensive to maintain. This STC program continues development and is still on track to complete certification by end of 2023. Genesys is taking orders now for the upgrade solution so place your orders and get in the queue!
Genesys Aerosystems will continue to keep its dealers updated on the STC status in order to plan for and offer the autopilot solution to its Citation customers when available.
Piper Twin Comanche STC Update
Genesys Aerosystems has received an FAA STC for installation of the S-TEC 3100 digital autopilot on the Piper Twin Comanche aircraft. The S-TEC 3100 autopilot STC includes the following Piper Twin Comanche aircraft models: PA-30 and PA-39.
The 3-axis S-TEC 3100 autopilot replaces the previously certified Genesys S-TEC 55X 2-axis autopilot on Twin Comanche aircraft. This update provides next generation digital performance upgrades and operational capability improvements.
