Garmin Adds GFC 500 Aircraft Approvals

Garmin is pleased to announce it has received Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and therefore EASA, Supplemental Type Certification (STC) for the GFC 500 autopilot in the Piper PA-28-235, PA-32-301, PA32301T, PA-32-301FT, and PA-32-301XTC series aircraft. Additionally, select PA-28 aircraft with overhead trim have been added to the AML STC.

Intended for qualifying piston single-engine aircraft weighing less than 6,000 lbs., the GFC 500 delivers superior inflight characteristics, self-monitoring capabilities, and minimal maintenance needs when compared to older generation autopilot systems.
