Now Available for Select Piper PA-30/39 & Cessna 206 Robertson STOL Models

Garmin is pleased to announce that it has received FAA STC for the GFC 500 autopilot in Piper Twin Comanche PA-30/39 models and select Robertson / Sierra Industries STOL equipped Cessna 206 series aircraft with foreign validations following shortly.

Intended for qualifying piston engine aircraft weighing less than 6,000 lbs., the GFC 500 delivers superior in-flight characteristics, self-monitoring capabilities, and minimal maintenance needs when compared to older-generation autopilot systems. Piper Twin Comanche PA-30/39

This approval adds the Piper PA-30, PA-30B, PA-30C and PA-39 Twin Comanche to the GFC 500 STC Approved Model List. These installation kits are available for order now. This approval allows for all 4 servo configurations: Pitch/Roll, Pitch/Roll/Pitch-Trim, Pitch/Roll/Yaw, and Pitch/Roll/Yaw/Pitch-Trim.

PLEASE NOTE: Due to twin-engine aircraft HIRF requirements, the PA-30/39 implementation of the GFC 500 autopilot requires a GI 275 as the primary ADAHRS source; the G5 cannot be used for this installation.
