Christmas Aviator Essentials

It’s the season of giving, and that pilot in your life can be tough to shop for. Whether you’re in search of that perfect flight-bag-gadget, or a fashion piece to complement their wardrobe, Garmin have got you covered. Here is their list of aviator essentials:

D2 Charlie

The third-take on their popular D2 series of aviator watches, the ‘Charlie’ is by far our most advanced. With a standard feature set that includes a full-color dynamic moving map, NEXRAD weather display, airport information and more, it’s tailor-made for the cockpit. But it’s just as useful day-to-day, with activity tracking, multisport features, a heart-rate monitor, smart notifications plus much more.

aera 660

Get their latest aviation technology in the palm of your hand with their newest aera series product. The aera 660 features a built-in GPS/GLONASS receiver and 5-inch sunlight-readable, intuitive touchscreen display. Keep an eye on traffic and weather when connected to compatible devices, including our GDL 39 series and GDL 52 series products.

Garmin Pilot

An aviation app designed for both Apple and Android devices, Garmin Pilot makes flight planning, filing, flying and logging a cinch. Check the weather, calculate your weight and balance, review NOTAMs and much more all on your mobile device.

VIRB Ultra 30 In-Cockpit Bundle

An action camera bundle with the aviator in mind. Their VIRB Ultra 30 In-Cockpit Bundle captures Ultra HD 4K/30fps footage with 3-axis image stabilization for any of those unsteady flight conditions you may encounter. Plus, a headset audio cable lets you overlay cockpit and ATC audio, and a prop filter takes away that annoying propeller distortion from the video.

D2 Bravo

The predecessor to their new D2 Charlie, the D2 Bravo packs a powerful, yet beautiful punch. The standard ‘Bravo’ version is thin and lightweight with an attractive bezel and premium leather band. Get many of their functions including Direct-to and Nearest Airport buttons, along with a plethora of activity tracking and multisport profiles. Want wrist-based heartrate? Check out the ‘Titanium’ version of the Bravo for that.
